The GRAMMY Charity Holiday Auction will raise funds for MusiCares

The MusiCares Foundation announced today that the GRAMMY Charity Holiday Auction, presented by Verizon (Official Broadband Sponsor of The Recording Academy), will be available at www.ebay.com/grammy now through Dec. 8. This public sale will feature music and entertainment memorabilia from popular artists, as well as special VIP experiences, and will raise funds for the charity.

Among the memorabilia/merchandise up for bid are items from popular artists including: Cher, the Eagles, B.B. King, Jennifer Lopez, Tim McGraw, Dave Navarro, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, Ringo Starr, U2, and Scott Weiland (Velvet Revolver). Additionally, special features include such VIP experiences as the 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards (at Los Angeles' STAPLES Center on Feb. 8); concert packages for Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, and Wynonna; and "From The Big Apple To The Big Easy" Hurricane Katrina relief concert memorabilia signed by Bill Clinton, Elton John, Dave Matthews, Paul Newman, the Neville Brothers, and Paul Simon among others. Amidst the music and entertainment memorabilia are a few gems for sports lovers, including a signed and worn helmet from NASCAR star Kasey Kahne as well as a Tony Hawk signed skateboard.

New to the GRAMMY Charity Holiday Auction this year are Nixon limited-edition watches. The Nixon collection of one-of-a-kind watches are made from celebrity leather jackets, pants and guitar straps from artists including: Jeff Buckley, Peter Frampton, Dave Navarro, Ozzy Osbourne, Slash, and Scott Weiland. Select watches will be available in 12 stores globally through Dec. 15, or online at the GRAMMY Charity Holiday Auction. Proceeds from this highly unique collection will benefit the MusiCares MAP Fund.

MusiCares continues its flourishing partnership with Kompolt, a California-based online auction agency focused on creating successful, high-value, high-profile promotional and charity auctions for top brand companies.
