Latin GRAMMY Street Parties To Hit Top Hispanic Markets

Latin Academy partners with Eventus and Univision for leading Latin music festival series

The Latin Recording Academy, Eventus and Univision have announced the schedule and talent roster for the 2009 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties. Currently in its seventh year, the Street Parties kicked off in West New York, N.J., on Sept. 27. The festivals will now continue on to Chicago on Oct. 4; Hialeah, Fla., on Oct. 11; Los Angeles on Oct. 18; Dallas on Oct. 25; and for the first time in Latin GRAMMY Street Parties history, the festival will take place Nov. 1 at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, the host city of this year's Latin GRAMMY Awards.

This monthlong celebration will highlight the enthusiasm, excellence and diversity of the U.S. Hispanic communities and will culminate with the 10th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards.

The Street Parties capture the excitement surrounding the Latin GRAMMY Awards by offering an interactive backdrop for attendees to experience live entertainment, sponsor display areas, and product sampling. This leading national Latin music festival series will continue to feature performances by some of Latin music's hottest artists, while serving as a launching platform for emerging talent representing various genres, including reggaetón, regional Mexican, pop, Spanish rock, and tropical, among others.

The 2009 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties are presented by McDonald's. Official sponsors include Verizon Wireless, State Farm Insurance and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which will give away a VIP trip to Las Vegas to experience the 10th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards ceremony. Registration for the trip giveaway will be available at the New Jersey, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and Dallas Latin GRAMMY Street Parties.
