MusiCares, Smile Programs … the mobile dentists and the American Federation of Musicians New Orleans Local 174-496 are partnering to provide a dental clinic offering dental screenings, teeth cleaning, and X-rays to uninsured music professionals in need. These treatments will be provided free of charge to pre-screened, pre-approved applicants on a first-come first-served basis. Those wishing to take advantage of this service must be able to provide documentation of their work in the music industry for at least five years. If professional music industry experience is less than five years, eligibility can also be determined through credited contribution to at least six commercially released recordings or videos (singles).
